Types of Stamps

Here at RubberMoon, we LOVE stamps, and we know you do, too! But we also know that everyone has different preferences when it comes to the type of stamp they want to buy.

We currently offer two different types of stamps, and take pride in the fact that no matter which type you choose, you will love the handmade quality - every stamp is pressed, cut, and mounted/packaged in our studio in Ohio!

The  stamp types:

  1. Cling
  2. Wood Mounted

Let's explore each type a little further, and the pros/cons of each!

1. Cling

Cling stamps, while a bit more costly than unmounted rubber, are still a fabulous value, easy to store, and even easier to use. Cling stamps are mounted on a grey static cling foam that adheres to an acrylic block (sold separately, you can find lots of sizes of acrylic blocks here!)

2. Wood Mounted

Mounted stamps are a classic for a reason! They are like mini works of art in themselves, and look amazing displayed on shelves in your craft room. They are convenient, too, because you do not need anything else (except an ink pad) to use, and they're just fun to collect! Wood mounted stamps are the most expensive type, not only because of the solid wood block upon which they are mounted, but also because of the labor-intensive nature of their creation: each image is stamped on the front of the wood block. This is all done 100% by hand - and boy is it tricky!
